No Quarter - Shirt

You’ve been travelling for quite some time. Out on the open seas, it’s easy to lose track of things. You see a ship crest the horizon. As it approaches, you strain to see what colors she flies. You squint, and your stomach drops. Black flags.

We’re all familiar with running a white flag into battle. This is a universal sign of surrender. However, we rarely stop to consider what a black flag might represent. Unironically, it means the opposite. It means No Quarter.

As we fight our spiritual war, wrestling against principalities and powers of darkness, we must give no quarter. We must show evil no mercy, and shine brightly the light of the gospel to eradicate the darkness.

So fly the Christian Flag proudly, but show no quarter to the darkness.

Ephesians 6:12 - For do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
