Burn The Ships // The Men's Muster

The year is 1519. Hernan Cortes lands in Mexico and makes the decision that going back is not an option. It’s either forward, or nothing. He turns to his men and gives his famous (perhaps, legendary) order to burn the ships.

Alex Rodriguez, proprietor of The Men’s Muster, told this story at Jesse and Justin’s church for a men’s conference called Christlike Courage in a Christless Culture this past Spring, and we thought it a fitting theme for our next shirt.

In a culture that does nothing but back down, we’re afraid the church is following suit. Now more than ever, we need to stand firm for the Kingdom of God. We must see forward as the only option. We need to burn the ships. No retreat.
